About These Icons

Protection ID 3mThinsulate

3M™ THINSULATE™

THINSULATE™ insulation works by trapping air molecules between you and the outside. The more air a material traps in a given space, the greater its insulating value. Because the microfibers in Thinsulate™ Insulation are finer than other fibers, they trap more air in less space, which naturally makes it a better insulator.

Not built for the work site

"I love the look of these boots and they're comfy, but these are not built for the work site, I'm a backframer, so not even out in the elements, these didn't go through any sort of heavy wear. 2 weeks of wear and the sole started to come away from the boot and the leather just tears up. Definitely NOT worth the money."

Painfulllll

"My friend has these shoes and absolutely loves them. She recommended them to me so I got a pair, and I’ve worn them for 2+ full months everyday for work, and I’ve gotten countless of blisters, my heels are constantly rubbed raw, it doesn’t take long for my skin to simply fall off lol. It’s given me blisters even on the sides of my heels, scarring them. It’s also rubbed the skin off the top of my toes, I didn’t even know shoes could do that. I love that they’re water proof, and they’re lovely, but they are the most painful experience with shoes I have ever had. I tried to break them in, I did. I don’t wear these shoes without bandaging my feet first and good socks."

best boots

"This is my second pair of kodiak boots and i love them. My first pair was a 9 and I usuaally wear an 8. 5. This purchase I bought them online and bought an 8. 5 and wished I bought the 9 so I could easily wear large wool socks in the winter. They are fine though and I can wear suitiably warm socks. I am always asked where I got my boots!"

Good boot

"They're absolutely beautiful! They run small though and I didn't know until I started wearing them that they would cause nickle sized blisters on the backs of my heels ever time I wear them. I love the way they look and I love that the tread is like a tire! Great grip. But I only can wear them for ten minutes before my skin starts peeling off. I think if I had known that their sizes are small I could have ordered a size up and maybe avoid the blisters? I need them for ankle support but quality like this is so expensive I'll have to wait until next year before I can replace them. Plus side, I've not had wet feet when wearing them so they are water proof as far as I know and they are very warm! Also I get compliments on how they look whenever I'm healed up and can wear them again. Ultimately I want these boots! My mom had kodiaks when I was little and they lasted her for years! I just want these boots without the pain. I will be buying again, but sizing up. So my review is to get these but if you're a size six get a six and a half!!!!"

Q&A

Do the Kodiak Kenosee low cut and low hiker boots only come in Wide width ?
The Kenosee was part of the Kodiak lifestyle line and came in a medium width but is now a discontinued style. Please see link below for our selection of soft toe boots: https://www.kodiakboots.ca/en/women/women-work/women-soft-toe/
How wide are these boots? Are they steel toes?
They are not steel toe. I'm awaiting info on the width.
How is sizing. I take a 6 in shoes
These boots fit true to size; we recommend ordering your usual size.
What is the temperature rating on the Kodiak Women's 8 Inch Bralorne Waterproof Boot?
We do not perform temperature rating tests on boots with 200 gm of [insulation](https://www.kodiakboots.ca/en/women/women-feature/women-insulated), these boots are designed for all-season comfort.
Hi, Are these boots fully waterproof where I could cross a small stream and not have my feet wet ? I am a biologist that works in the field and I am looking for boots to walk in swamps, wood and sometimes cross small streams
Yes, the Bralorne boot is [waterproof](https://www.kodiakboots.ca/en/women/women-feature/women-waterproof), it is made of waterproof leather along with a waterproof membrane. It will perform in wet conditions as long as you are not standing for long periods of times in water, for that we would suggest a rubber boot.
