About These Icons

Protection ID 3mThinsulate

3M™ THINSULATE™

THINSULATE™ insulation works by trapping air molecules between you and the outside. The more air a material traps in a given space, the greater its insulating value. Because the microfibers in Thinsulate™ Insulation are finer than other fibers, they trap more air in less space, which naturally makes it a better insulator.

Poor quality and poor customer service

"Leather separated from sole after eight months of regular use. When contacted about the defective boots their service representative maintained nothing could be done because their six month warranty had elapsed! unacceptable excuse for defective workmanship. Extremely disappointed!!"

— Kyle C. (1/5)

They hurt the back of my heel.

"I’ve had Kodiak Proworkers forever. Always painless and comfortable. Now that I’m retired, I gave these a try. Painful blisters…. Disappointing"

— Francois D. (1/5)

New boots

"Hard starting off breaking in. But once broken in they are beautiful."

— Jorel D. (5/5)

A very good boot, will

"A very good boot, will buy again from Kodiak"

— Gerald M. (5/5)

Sole began separating from toe after 10 months.

"I bought these as my current work boots of a different brand (5 years old) are beginning to break down. I havent worn these boots much aside from walking around to break them until my other boots kick the bucket. After 10 months of just wearing them as a shoe the sole has began separating from the boot at the toe, on both! To say I am disappointed in the quality is an understatement since they haven't even seen any work. And due to their 6 month return policy I'm on my own. This will be the last time I purchase boots from this company again. Would expect work boots to be able to handle work, let alone walking around."

— Sam A. (1/5)

Great boots replaced by great boots

"I had a pair of Kodiaks for more than 30 years. Finally had to say good-bye. These new boots are terrific. As good as the originals!"

— David N. (5/5)

Good boot, bad sole

"The letter and fit of the boot is great but the sole is the boot slips on metal grating very easily when it's below 0 Celsius."

— Alexander S. (3/5)

Ok boots

"Great boots but are not waterproof only water resistant. And not good on snow/ ice when Canadian weather hits the job site"

— Cody K. (3/5)

Great boot

"Fit great right out of the box. I wear them all the time, even in the winter. On my second pair and yet to have wet feet! The sole needs some improvement, can be slippery on cold hard surfaces and starts to fall apart after a time."
