3M™ THINSULATE™
THINSULATE™ insulation works by trapping air molecules between you and the outside. The more air a material traps in a given space, the greater its insulating value. Because the microfibers in Thinsulate™ Insulation are finer than other fibers, they trap more air in less space, which naturally makes it a better insulator.

"My last pair lasted me over 40 years and wanted me to retire them. I bought a pair of new boots when in the US. I wore them 3 times. Next time I went to put them on the whole sole came off, back to front…. $100 US down the drain! Kodiac are by far the best boots out there hands down! They are worth the extra cost because they will outlast most others. This was my 3rd pair from age 18 to 75! I especially love the sewen in tongue and a sole that’s indestructible! You’ll never regret buying them and I highly recommend!"

"Have been a lifelong kodiak boot wearer (countless pairs) and apart from the lace wear in the previous 2 pairs the boots have met and surpassed expectations. The issue with the eyelets seems to have been resolved. Warm and dry this past year and still look pretty good."

"Love the style, materials & functionality but boots fit is too wide."

"These boots are amazing! They look great, they feel great, and they perform great! They're warm, durable, and don’t slip. They fit great, and run true to size. Perfect for an Alberta winter. Dont waste your time with any other boot. These are amazing!"
"Have had 2 sets of these boots had to replace the first set after 3 months under warranty because the inner liner was separating and now the second pair was water proof ish for about 2 months and after that my feet have gotten we any time i get water near them. Also the the toes got cut up after the first day with the first pair so with the second pair i had to use tough toe on them to keep them in decent shape. And the tread on the bottom is all delaminating on the left boot like the rubber wasn't cured properly or something and they are slippery on ice. The only reason they get 2 stars is they are comfortable with my skinny feet"
"Bought them for a fall/winter boot for short stints outside. Good grip on ice. Warm enough when your moving. Comfortable, solid and seem to be well made. Hoping they last many years. One thing though is they fit small. I've always been a size 10, almost every pair of shoes /boots own are a 10. Bought these in a 10 and they were snug. Tried to wear them thinking they would stretch out but but after a month of wearing them daily I had to buy them in an 11."
