Disappointed
"The only good thing is that yes, they are waterproof. Other than that, very cheaply made. The black parts in the front and the back the boots have already started to come off, and ive had them for about two weeks."

"I have a wide foot and these are the only boots that I have found that fit properly will be buying again."
"Again, I got these deeply discounted and on a save the tax promotion so I have to be generous with the review. The back bumper guard isn't stitched into the boot like it is on the ice conquerors. It's just cemented or glued. This will likely be problematic. The tongue isn't padded, and I knew that when buying these, but I didn't realize how much it would bug me until wearing them and trying to get used to that. If you pull up your socks, which I'm generally not used to doing, it will mostly avoid the tongue digging into your upper ankles. I'd probably rate these a 3.5-4 but quite honestly if I had paid full price and taxes, these would be a 2 at best. The internal pull-loop and the non-padded tongue are serious mistakes for this boot."
"I would also like to add that these are not what I would expect a 4E to be. I'm glad at that fact because I feel I'm a 2E at best. Maybe these should be classified as 4E super snug or 3E regular. If you don't have too tall of a metatarsal(bulbous) foot bone and toes, you can likely put in an extra foam or gel insert. I just wanted people to know that although this is definitely wide, it may not be as wide as some poeple think. I've had my foot scanned at another boot dealer who shall remain nameless, and apparently my right foot was 9.5 D(width) and my left foot was a 9 D. These size 9's I purchased are long. They actully fit more like the ice conqueror 9.5. If you have very pointed toes like I do, the toe box will be good for you. I think your toes will be good regardless of the way they're shaped as long as you get the right size."
"The reason that I'm giving these a 5-star is because I got these deeply discounted from an authorized re-seller. If I had to actually pay full price, I don't know what I'd rate these but it wouldn't be 5/5. The pull-tab/loop being integrated on the inside of the back is maddening. For full price, that alone would probably knock it down a full star. I feel like it was a way for Kodiak to cheap out and not attach a leather one at the back outside. Even the 6" ice conquerors that I have, the pull loops are on the outside of the boot. This model isn't as out-of-the-box comfortable as the ice conquerors. They still feel more natural for my feet compared to a lot of different boot makes and models. There will be a break-in period with these. I tested the waterproofing by wearing the boots while submerging them in a tote bucket filled with a few inches of water. I stood in it for a few minutes. Sloshed around a bit. Bingo!!!! They're waterproof. I didn't try the water too high because as far as I'm concerned you can't reasonable expect good waterproofing at 4-5+ inch submersion. Maybe if you catch the odd deep puddle, and it's that big, hopefully they're mostly waterproof. I wasn't willing to submerge them that much. On the "runs big" I'd maybe say 4/5 on the scale. Maybe on the runs wide scale it would be a 4/5. There's no outsole flex. Maybe it could be worked in but if you're looking for it right away, you're not going to get it on this model. I also have no idea how the outsole will hold up to other Kodiak models as you can see when comparing the overall height of the tread and the outsole. It seems like there should have been at least 2-3mm more added material height. They're clearly going to be overkill for what I need them for, and they should last me quite some time."
