‘‘On my third pair, love em’’

On my third pair of Thane boots, and they are everything I look for in a pair. Look great (in my opinion) last years, element resistant, and incredibly comfortable. Break in within 2 or 3 wears, best boot I\'ve worn.\n\nIf I *had* to give one con--which isn\'t really a con but worth noting--is that the large grooves on the bottom of the boot can get trapped gravel if walking over a gravelly path. However those same large grooves make dirt not get stuck as often and provide good traction, so it\'s all a tradeoff. I personally have a different pair of boots for actual trail hiking, but these will certainly work and have hiked mountains in them--you\'ll just have to clean the bottoms after.\n\nBtw, sizing wise, I typically wear 10.5 but got size 11. I believe they run true to size, but I sized up a half to allow for thicker socks and a bit roomier fit (since I\'m not hiking that much in them).\n\nKodiak, please never discontinue this boot!!

      ‘‘Best boots I've ever had’’

I\'ve had these boots for a few years and they\'ve been incredible. I wore them daily, shoveled snow, and beat them up good. I just got a pair of Redwings, which are awesome but almost three times the price. I honestly prefer to wear these because they\'re more comfortable and I don\'t care if they scuff as much. My wife thinks they\'re a little shabby to wear out but as far as a solid hiking boot - these can\'t be beat.

      ‘‘Great boots.’’

These boots fit a little on the tight side, so if you have wide feet like I do, or if you are a half size, you might want to go a size up. \n\nMy feet are wide, but I am an 11, so while the boots were slightly tight, they are breaking in nicely & are really comfortable. \n\nI use Kodiaks for motorcycle riding & most of my boots don\'t last more than one season. But Kodiaks last at least two or three. \n\nThe soles have excellent grip, even as it starts to get colder out (Which is VERY important when riding a big bike) and they last. \n\nAll in all, they make amazing boots & are hands down my favourite. I\'ve tried all different kinds & with the exception of Wolverines which I don\'t care for because of fit & weight, I just chew right through everything else that I ride in. \n\nMy only complaint is that they aren\'t made right here IN Canada. I would gladly pay an extra hundred bucks per pair to see them come back home & to support our own economy. with my purchase.
