‘‘Cute, light weight, well made’’
Kodiak is a brand that I sold when I worked at REI. They\'re fashionable and well made, and I was hooked too. I have two pairs of their Surrey II boots and was pleased with them. They and this one are leather, so, they will wear and they will scuff. But just like with all well made things you need to actually take care of it! :)\n\nThese are snug, it\'s true. If you are someone that needs a wide, I do not recommend these. Even for me with narrow feet these are a little snug around the pinky toe. You do not need to necessarily \"wear thick socks with them\" as other reviews complain about. The comfort temp rating is on the boot itself, not the boot with wool socks. \n\nI just moved to New England and I am excited to stay warm and look cute!!
‘‘Comfy and warm’’
I really like them and I’m glad I ordered the 7 (sometimes I wear a 6 or 6.5). The boot was tighter than I thought it would be. Comfy to walk in!
‘‘Color is nothing like pictured’’
Just received these in grey and will probably be returning them unfortunately. The color is NOTHING like in the pictures. The grey actually looks like the black ones pictured. I realize this is just an aesthetic issue, but it was really unexpected. I have since looked on other sites and found more accurate photos. On the plus side, they seem extremely lightweight and warm, and I like the lacing system. They seem a little stiff, but I imagine they would break in. As one other commenter mentioned, they feel tight with thick socks, so I would probably go up half a size if you plan to mainly wear them with thick socks.
